Joanna Jaques is a Research Program Manager within the Gastrointestinal Cancers Policy and Evaluation stream at the Daffodil Centre.
Joanna’s role at the Daffodil Centre is to coordinate research projects that relate to bowel cancer screening including the MAIL, GP and SCALE clinical trial – a pilot of a co-designed general practice-led intervention to improve participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program. This trial is being conducted across four Primary Health Networks in Australia. Other funded projects are investigating strategies to improve referral and access to colonoscopy services across NSW.
Joanna has a bachelor degree in exercise science and nutrition with a masters degree in research and has worked as a clinician and project manager in clinical, population health and research settings.
