The Daffodil Centre is an inspiring and inclusive place to work, study and volunteer. Developing and nurturing the skills and careers of our academic and professional staff is an important element of the Centre’s overarching strategy.

The Daffodil Centre offers early- and mid-career researchers development and support opportunities, including access to mentoring schemes and the Cancer Research Network. The Centre also has a cohort of experienced supervisors able to support outstanding PhD candidates and offering outstanding projects for high-performing masters level students.

Project Coordinator

  • Project Coordinator supporting the Cervical Cancer and HPV stream
  • Oversee the strategic coordination, ongoing tracking, and project reporting of a large philanthropically funded project for cervical cancer elimination in the Western Pacific
  • Lead administration for the stream, including facilitating the review of contracts, tracking and forecasting research outputs and submission of invoices
  • Full-time, 12-month parental leave cover contract

Breast Cancer Prevention Senior Research Fellow

  • Senior Research Fellow in the Breast Cancer Clinical and Population Health stream
  • Lead breast cancer prevention research including a cancer screening trial under plan in collaboration with Breast Screening Program, and other large cohort studies
  • Part-time (0.8 FTE) with some flexibility, fixed term until September/October 2024
