Dr Jo Longman (PhD, MPH, BSc (hons)) is a Senior Research Fellow working through the Daffodil Centre. A member of the Tobacco Behaviour Change and Implementation stream, she is based at the University Centre for Rural Health in Lismore, NSW. Jo is a social scientist and is the qualitative lead on the MOHMQuit project (Midwives and Obstetricians Helping Mothers to Quit smoking). MOHMQuit is a cluster-randomised stepped-wedge trial in nine maternity services in NSW. It is implementation research that aims to improve smoking cessation support in public antenatal clinics. Jo leads on the process evaluation of MOHMQuit and contributes to the smooth running of the trial and a number of substudies including one on women’s smoking and vaping in the first 12 months after having their baby.
