Dr Rachel Jaros is the Operations and Strategy Manager for the Daffodil Centre, overseeing the operational and strategic planning of Cancer Council NSW’s contribution to the Centre. She ensures the integration of the Centre’s work into CCNSW’s broader strategy, priorities, and ambitions.
Rachel holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from Auckland University and has a career spanning medtech and biotech commercialisation. She recently worked at the Garvan Institute, where she managed research and commercialisation programs, led multi-disciplinary teams, and shaped organisational strategy to maximise the impact of scientific discoveries. She has extensive experience in commercialisation pathways, intellectual property management, and establishing high-value partnerships across industry, academia, and clinical sectors.
Rachel has also developed business cases, secured strategic funding, and managed program budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and alignment with institutional priorities. With a strong background in translating research into real-world outcomes, she is committed to driving innovation and strategic growth within the Daffodil Centre.
