Dr Telma Costa is a Research Fellow at The Daffodil Centre, dedicated to support the clinical translation and implementation of cervical cancer elimination strategies, particularly in low- and middle-income settings. As a background, she is a Portuguese Medical Oncologist, with experience working in the Sub-Saharan Africa, to support the development of oncology units. She is also a member of the MASCC’s (Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer) Certification Program Committee, and a passionate advocate for the involvement of consumers, for what she is part of the Patients’ Advocacy Working Group, of the Portuguese Society of Oncology, and the Group of Patient Partners, of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC).
