Associate Professor Claudia Rutherford leads a large program of research focused on improving colorectal cancer patient’s health-related quality of life into post-treatment survivorship. Within this program, studies are underway to better understand: 1) long-term consequences of treatment and unmet needs, 2) interventions to address sexual concerns, and 3) how to transition patients from hospital back to GP co-ordinated care to meet the needs of both colorectal cancer survivors and their managing GPs.
As a patient-reported outcomes (PROs) specialist, Claudia provides support across the research hubs on the design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of PROs in clinical research.
