Stream(s) of work:

Junyi Li is a PhD student at the University of Sydney. She holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of New South Wales and has a strong background in statistical methodology. She is interested in the intersection of survival analysis, biostatistics, and cancer epidemiology. Her research focuses on applying cure models to large-scale cancer registry data to estimate cancer cure. She works on estimating cancer cure fractions and modelling survival distributions for uncured patients. By integrating advanced statistical methods with population-based cancer registry data, she investigates temporal trends in cancer cure as well as differences across demographic and clinical subgroups. Her aim is to provide more interpretable and meaningful descriptions of long-term cancer outcomes and to inform public health decision-making.
