Dr Velentzis is a cancer epidemiologist in the Breast Cancer Policy and Evaluation and Cervical Cancer and HPV streams. She is involved in policy relevant research on cervical and breast cancer prevention with a focus on screening. Key areas of interest include the impact of HPV vaccination, modifiable risk factors for female cancers with a focus on exogenous hormones, risk-based breast cancer screening and the use of modelling in the context of cancer prevention and control.
