Haoyu Zhang is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. He’s research interests lie at the intersection of cancer epidemiology and cardio-oncology. His PhD research explores the burden and determinants of cardiovascular disease among cancer survivors, leveraging large-scale, population-based datasets to generate real-world evidence. By identifying key risk factors and quantifying the cardio-toxicity of cancer treatments, his work aims to inform tertiary prevention strategies and support integrated survivorship care. Prior to his PhD, Haoyu was involved in research projects focused on cancer screening, and comorbidity and health-related quality of life in cancer survivorship care.
