Dr Lara Petelin is an early career researcher with experience in health economic modelling and evaluation of  preventive interventions for hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes. Her expertise lies in microsimulation modelling, with an interest in programming languages R and Python for data analysis and model development. She also has experience in designing and conducting systematic reviews.

Lara works in the Breast Cancer Policy and Evaluation and Ovarian Cancer streams. She is also involved in an economic evaluation of population-based genetic testing for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer funded by the NHRMC, and projects investigating the utility of incorporating polygenic risk into familial cancer risk assessments.
